Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Pharmaceutical Medicine - 30 ECTS / Swiss Specialist in Pharmaceutical Medicine (FMH and SwAPP)
To achieve a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Pharmaceutical Medicine by the University of Basel, it is required to successfully complete a two-year course cycle and to pass the multiple choice questions (MCQ) exam, which consists of 120 questions as well as an oral and an essay exam. The oral examination is based on the pre-reading of a peer reviewed paper. The essay includes three one page summaries on given topics. The fee for the exams is CHF 750 (The two exams can be repeated. Retake fees: CHF 500 for the MCQ and CHF 750 for the oral/essay exam).
Participants, who successfully completed a DAS, can apply as an MD for a Swiss Specialist in Pharmaceutical Medicine Diploma offered by FMH (Swiss Association of Medical Doctors) and as an MSc or PhD for a SwAPP (Swiss Association of Pharmaceutical Professionals) Diploma. Since September 2018, the CAS/DAS in Pharmaceutical Medicine is recognized by Swissethics as investigator and sponsor-investigator training in research ethics and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
The DAS exam dates are:August 20, 2024 and September 10, 2024. The deadline for registration is May 31, 2024 (oral and essay exams and retake of the oral and essay exams).
You can choose to take all three exams on August 20, 2024 or take the MCQ exam on August 20, 2024 and the oral/essay exam on September 10, 2024.
